To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Pepperdine University in Malibu held a memorial service on September 11, 2011 where the names of the 2,977 people who died were read aloud.

by Lainie Citron on August 8, 2011The other night we wanted to try something different so we drove up to Malibu to Tra di noi Ristorante. It was a beautiful evening and a lovely, short drive up the coast.
Tra di noi is in the Country Mart shopping center in Malibu on Cross Creek Road. We only had to wait for a few minutes for our table but while we did, it was so fun to people watch. It was everything you expect to see in Malibu.

Sushi is one of my favorite foods and last week I went to Nobu in Malibu for my first time. I had heard many great things about the restaurant and I was not disappointed.
Nobu Malibu opened in October of 1999 and is located at 3835 Cross Creek Road. Nobu currently has 25 restaurants spanning across five continents. It is known for its excellent cuisine that features Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature dishes such as Tiradito and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno. There are also some Malibu favorites created by the Executive Chef Gregorio Stephenson and delicious eye catching desserts.
Getty By The Sea: Visit the Original Getty Villa in Malibu

Since the Getty Center opened, many have forgotten about exploring the original Getty. This museum is dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome and Etruria. The collection includes approximately 44,000 antiquities with objects dating from 6,500 B.C. to A.D. 400 that include monumental sculptures as well as artifacts of everyday life.
